How to view and restore Version History

Version history is a feature that allows users to track and manage changes made to documents and list items in a library or list. This serves as a tool for content management, giving team members the ability to view past versions of a file, restore previous versions if necessary, and understand the development of a document through its various edits and modifications.

Steps to Follow:

  • Open the list or library
  • Hover over the document and click on the ellipsis (…)

  • Click Version History to see the list of versions from the drop down list

                    

  • Click Version History to see the list of versions including Modified By, Size and Comments. Beside each Modified Date is a down arrow that shows option to View, Restore, Delete

                        

 

                        

 

  • Click on the required option
